What the current site code stores and requests.

Scope of this page

This page describes the current review build of outspell.online. Hosting, analytics, advertising, and a public contact method have not been finalized. This copy must be checked against the actual production setup before launch.

Game and settings data in your browser

The site uses browser local storage to remember settings such as dark mode and colorblind labels, along with progress or scores for games that support saving. Examples include board positions, found words, and number-to-letter assignments. This data stays in your browser under this site's origin unless you use a browser feature to share a result.

You can remove stored game data through your browser's site-data controls. Clearing it will reset saved rounds and settings. The games are designed to remain playable during a visit when local storage is blocked, although saved progress may not survive a reload.

Requests made by the site

Game scripts load word and puzzle data from files served by this site. The current source does not send submitted game words to an application server for checking. The shared stylesheet requests the Poppins font from Google Fonts; if that request fails, the site uses system fonts. Those font requests connect your browser to Google's services.

The site has no analytics script, ad network, account sign-in, or contact form in this review build. A future host may keep technical access logs such as request time, requested path, IP address, and browser information. The hosting provider and its retention rules must be documented once hosting is chosen.

Sharing results

On games with a Share result button, sharing happens only after you choose that action. The browser may open its native share interface or copy a short result to your clipboard. The site does not post that result to its own server.

Changes before launch

If analytics, ads, a contact form, or a different hosting arrangement is added, this page must be updated to describe those services and any choices they require. For current contact status, see Contact.
