What is Waffle Unlimited?
Waffle is a letter-swap puzzle shaped like a waffle grid. Three five-letter words run across and three run down. Each crossing shares one letter. Swap the scrambled letters into their solved positions in fifteen moves or fewer. New puzzle gives you another independently generated round.
How to play
- Tap one letter and then another to swap them. You can also drag between two tiles.
- Use the clue on each tile: a check means its exact location is correct; a dot means the letter belongs somewhere in its current row or column.
- Keep swapping until all six words are correct or your moves run out.
Why the puzzle is solvable
Every grid begins as six valid five-letter words that agree at all crossings. The game scrambles that solved grid by swapping pairs of active letter tiles. That preserves the exact letter collection, so there is always a route back to the answer within the move limit. Duplicate letters may have more than one useful position.
Strategy
Look for exact letters first and leave them in place when possible. A letter that belongs in both its row and column narrows its destination. Solve the crossing positions before filling the ends of words. If a swap fixes two letters at once, it is especially valuable.
